The Office of Weather Programs and Projects is overseen by the University of Oklahoma Vice-President for Research, T.H. Lee Williams. Dr. John T. Snow, Dean of the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences and administrator of the National Weather Center building serves as the Director of OWPP. Ken Crawford, Director of the Oklahoma Climatological Survey and Regents’ Professor of Meteorology serves as Associate Director of OWPP. Mr. James Hocker, OWPP Research Associate, is the primary point of contact regarding OWPP services, projects, and educational training opportunities.
Meteorologists within various Weather Sphere organizations at the National Weather Center and the surrounding research campus form the expert teams selected to develop feasibility studies and meteorological training programs.
